Hello,
Summer is well and truly here and I've got a fab new menu for you all to try!
And its really nice. (oh I nearly forgot)
It's our July Lunch and Earlybird menu -
available Mon-Fri (12pm-7pm) Sat (12pm-6pm)
2 courses £10, 3 courses £12.95. Bargain!
First course
Today’s soup (ask the staff for
details), Mr Trotter’s Mistletoe Bakery bread Rainbow trout, gooseberry chutney
Warmed mushrooms and sage paste,
thick white toast
Smoked chicken Caesar salad
Durham pork
tenderloin, apple and green bean salad
Second course
Braised shin of Neasham Farm beef,
creamed pots, mushroom and bacon sauce Venison bangers and mash, caramelized
onions
Gammon and eggs, new pots, mustard
cream
Baked aubergine, spinach, Northumbrian
nettle cheese, tomato sauce
Poached salmon, watercress,
cucumber and fennel salad
Puddings
Raspberry cranachan (oatmeal and
whisky cream for those that don’t know)
Summer fruit and pear cider jelly,
Archer’s Jersey ice cream
Strawberry tart and mint syrup
Blue stilton, oatcakes, chutney
Sticky toffee pudding, caramel
