| Fame at last 11/12/2007 We've been asked to bake a huge (well, about 6 foot tall) cake in the image of the lovely Pudsey Bear in support of BBC Children in Need 2007. Fame at last… Now; this activity will be on the telly (I’m considering having my hair done) and will turn our restaurants into buzzing hives of activity from Wednesday 14th November right through the Friday (the big event is televised on Friday 16th) and beyond. Our famous cake will be filmed by the BBC during it’s creation and will no doubt be featured in the run-up programmes as the big event nears. On the evening of Friday 16th the cake will be transported to Penrith where it will be chopped up, sold off and munched to raise as much money as possible for this brilliant and very important charity.
