  For whom the bell tolls...
10/29/2007

Bill's spent his weekend tending to our 2 year old sheep on his land in Teesdale.

The grass in the paddock is running low so he's been giving them hay, keeping them happy (yes i'm a little worried about this part as in the past when talking about them he always seems to have a glint in his eye!) and ensuring that they don't get frostbite on these cold autumn/winter nights.

However, he said that they are looking at him very warily, and rightly so because they'll be going onto our menus in the next few weeks.

Make sure you come and try them, they'll be on the menus as Teesdale mutton.

Despite the sheep's age, I'm worried that Bill still finds them attractive (and he's getting old so he knows).

A case of mutton dressed as lamb perhaps?

Peter
