Now I’m a modest chap as you know. But I have to mention that oldfields Restaurants has won another award.

This September, at the North East England Tourism Awards 2007, oldfields Restaurants was presented with the ‘Taste of North East England’ Award.

Fantastic!

The awards, designed to reflect quality, performance and innovation in the tourism sector of the North East recognised the oldfields commitment to using great local produce.

The fact that our customers know exactly where ingredients are from and even how few miles they travel to get to our kitchens was a real winner with the judges.

Judges also reckoned that that oldfields demonstrates a real commitment to making the North East a great place to visit.

Earlier this year, we won an award for ‘Best Service’ in the North East Restaurant Awards held by The Gourmet Society and in 2006 oldfields won an award for ‘Restaurant of the Year’ in the Durham Retail Awards.
